Principal's Message

Dear Students, Families, Staff, and Members of the Menifee County Community,
I am honored to introduce myself as the new Principal of Menifee County High School and to begin this exciting next chapter serving our school and community. As a lifelong resident of Menifee County, I am deeply committed to serving our community through education and to continuing the strong traditions of our school.
I am a proud graduate of Menifee County High School, and it is truly an honor to return in this role to lead the school that helped shape who I am today. My commitment to Menifee County runs deep, both personally and professionally. I am married to my husband, Mark Abney, and together we have three children: Tracy, Patrick, and Zela. Our family is proud to call Menifee County home.
I bring over 20 years of experience in the Menifee County School District, having served in a variety of roles that have strengthened my leadership and instructional expertise. I began my career in 2006 as the Family Resource Center Director, supporting students and families by helping remove barriers to learning. I then spent ten years as a middle school social studies teacher, where I developed a strong passion for engaging instruction and student-centered learning.
My journey into school leadership began as the School Administrative Manager at Menifee Elementary. In 2020, I was named Assistant Principal, and in 2021 I became Principal of Menifee Central. Each of these roles has prepared me to lead with purpose, collaboration, and a focus on student success.
As I transition into the role of Principal of Menifee County High School, I am excited to work alongside our dedicated staff, students, families, and community partners. My goal is to support student achievement, invest in staff growth, and foster a strong, positive school culture where every student feels valued, challenged, and supported.
I look forward to building relationships, listening to your ideas, and working together to ensure Menifee County High School continues to be a place where students thrive. Thank you for the opportunity to serve this incredible school and community.
Sincerely,
Kelli Abney Ed.S.
Principal
Menifee County High School
